Hi! My name is Eric (nickname Sunny). I am currently a high school student living in the Bay Area in California, United States of America. I started taking photos since I was very young, but been using a DSLR for the photos for over 3 years now. My skills are okay, not that good, just starting to mess with some manual work recently. I used to use auto for my photos. The camera I used to use an Olympus E-510 (semi-professional camera). Now I use a Canon EOS 7D and a Canon Vixia HF200 (mini 1080p camcorder with photo-taking function). Sometimes I might even use my Nokia N97 phone as a camera if I don't have my DSLR with me because the camera on there isn't really bad. It's 5MP, but can't compare with a DSLR LOL! The camera tripod I use is a Vanguard Alta+ 204AP.
The reason I started photography, because I want to share beautiful landscapes and wildlife pictures with people. I wanted to share the beauty of nature with everyone. It's not that I want to make money. I do put ads (Amazon.com banners) on this blog (Some idiot click-bombed me and got me banned from Adsense), because running a photography blog has maintenance and storage costs and camera equipment are extremely expensive. Now getting back onto why I started taking photographs. I guess who really inspired me was my friend Jeffrey C.. One day he said to me, "I want you to take a look outside tomorrow morning and see how wonderful this world is." So I did the next day, and I said to myself, it is wonderful, why not share it with the world? To people that can't travel this far to come see the beauty! So that is why I started photography and this blog! I am hoping one day, one of my photos will get featured on National Geographic Magazine. If I do, it will be a dream come true. HAHA But I seriously doubt that will ever happen. XD I hope you like my blog. Please share it with your friends, family members, and co-workers too!
